I am a final year doctoral student at Department of Finance, Accounting & Control, School of Management and Entrepreneurship, Shiv Nadar University, India. My academic background includes mathematical foundation laid down during B.A. (Honours) and Master's degree in Mathematics from Ramjas College, University of Delhi and Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak respectively. Then I earned an MBA with specialisation in Banking and Finance from Panjab University, Chandigarh. The prior background in mathematics and finance has motivated me to pursue my Ph.D. in the area of Empirical Corporate Finance from Shiv Nadar University.
I plan to conduct research in three broad areas - Corporate Finance, Corporate Governance and Raising Capital. Specically, I would like to study the implications of ownership and control on the corporate decision making in the light of performance and growth of family firms. To my interests in IPOs, I would like to examine the efficacy of security market regulations on the freshly listed stock companies and also provide insights for the policy implications.
With regard to my research and teaching interests, I enjoy teaching courses related to Corporate Finance, Econometrics, Mergers, Acquisitions and Restructurings.
